Staten Island indie quartet Cymbals Eat Guitars was founded in 2007 by guitarist Joseph D’Agostino and drummer Matthew Miller. The band first garnered national attention in 2009 with the release of their debut album, Why There Are Mountains. In 2011, Cymbals Eat Guitars signed with Barsuk Records and released their second album, Lenses Alien. The band is currently on tour in support of their third album, LOSE, released via Barsuk in August.
