Dub Thompson is composed of two 19-year-olds from the Los Angeles suburb, Augora Hills. Drummer Evan Laffer and singer/guitarist Matt Pulos create a unique sound that is reminiscent of Big Black and Pere Ubu, to Kraut pioneers Can and Kraftwerk. Dub Thomspon’s debut album, 9 Songs, was released June 10 via Dead Oceans.
Thursday, July 3, Dub Thompson will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Holy Mountain. Montreal-based post-punk band Ought will open. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
