New York City hardcore crossover icons Cro-Mags influenced your favorite thrash and hardcore punk bands. Despite their rocky history amongst members and having various variations of the band’s name, the group remains a hardcore fan favorite. Their early releases The Age of the Quarrel, Best Wishes and Alpha Omega always make various “best of” lists. Current frontman John Joseph McGowan carries on the Cro-Mags name with a roster of longtime members that played Fun Fun Fun Fest in 2008 as Cro Mags (jam).
On Saturday, July 12, Cro-Mags will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Red 7. Sharing the bill are Austin-based punk bands CONCRETE and Sores, Dallas-based hardcore outfit Vulgar Display and Houston hardcore group Die Young. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise. Good luck!
