Athens-bred/Nashville-based indie power trio The Whigs formed in 2002. After more than a decade together—during which they’ve released four critically lauded studio albums and toured constantly as either headliners or openers for the likes of the Drive-By Truckers, Kings of Leon, and MGMT, the group is back on tour in support of their latest album, Modern Creation.
On Friday, June 13, The Whigs will be performing a headlining concert at Red 7. They will be joined by Houston-based folk-rock band Buxton and Austin’s own The Blind Pets who open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Thursday, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise. Good luck!
Red 7 is located at 611 E. 7th Street. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 9 p.m. Show will be on the inside stage. Advance tickets are available for this show here.
