The Courtneys are three girls from Vancouver BC’s downtown eastside. Their blend of fuzzy pop draws comparisons to Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Joy Division, The Clean, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Driving basslines, scrappy washed out guitar, and primitive beats are accompanied by layers of blazing solos and passionate energetic vocals: The Courtneys produce genuine and fun slacker rock.
On Saturday, June 7, The Courtneys will be performing a headlining concert at Holy Mountain. Austin’s Hola Beach and Feral Future open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, the day before the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise. Good luck!
Holy Mountain is located at 617 E. 7th Street. Doors open at 9 p.m. All ages are welcome. Advance tickets are available for purchase online here.
