Formed in 2011, Ann Arbor’s indie quartet Pity Sex is equal parts punk, indie rock and wandering shoegaze. Airy dual male/female vocals are hallmarks of their 2013 release, Feast of Love, which captures the essence ’90s Pixies, the dreary melodies of the Breeders, and sonic mass of My Bloody Valentine. For even more foggy, fuzzed-out goodness check out their debut, Dark World.
On Monday, June 30, Pity Sex will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Holy Mountain. They will be joined by touring mates Solids from Montreal. Austin’s Gang Sign and Costumes open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 10 a.m. on Monday, the day of the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise. Good luck!
Holy Mountain is located at 617 E. 7th Street. Doors open at 9 p.m. All ages are welcome. Advance tickets are available for purchase online here.
