Darren Weiss and Daniel Presant are the backbone of Los Angeles-based indie band PAPA. At first Google, you’ll find out that Weiss was once the drummer for popular indie band Girls. The band formed in New York City in 2008 while Weiss and Presant were attending college. After recording their critically acclaimed EP A Good Woman Is Hard To Find, they got on several “bands to watch” lists and toured with big name bands to grow their fan base. They are currently on tour in promotion of their latest album, Tender Madness.
On Sunday, June 15, PAPA will be performing a headlining concert in Austin at Red 7. Austin-based psych-pop band The Sour Notes open the show. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. Only submissions with full names will be officially entered. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 6 p.m. on Friday, two days day before the show.
