Born Khalif Diouf, Manhattan-based rapper LE1F is an out and proud gay MC who has one foot in the glossy Bling Era rap hits that he came to age on and one foot in the downtown electronic scene where he developed as an artist. He first got national attention from music tastemakers and bloggers for his bass-heavy track “Wut.” Don’t mistake LE1F for a one trick twerker as he studied ballet and modern dance, and eventually earned a degree in dance from Wesleyan.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, LE1F will be performing the last show of his current “LE1F’s Tree House Party” tour at Holy Mountain. Rapper Lakutis co-headlines. The best part? We have two tickets to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
