Before The White Stripes or The Black Keys, blues rock afficionados were slammin’ down whiskeys and booze to Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (JSBE) records. Formed in the early ’90s, JSBE were ahead of the times, fusing elements of punk, noise rock and rockabilly with traditional blues. Their sound and unconventional recording techniques have allowed JSBE to work with a number of diverse artists including Elliott Smith, Beck, and Ad Rock of the Beastie Boys.
After eight years since releasing their last album, JSBE is back with Meat And Bone (Sept. 2012). Currently on tour to support the album’s release, JSBE is performing a headlining show in Austin on Tuesday, Jan, 22, at Red 7. Austin’s The Flesh Lights open. The best part? We have two tickets to the show to giveaway to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle on Facebook. Just click LIKE every time you see a link to this post on our wall. We will pick the winner on Tuesday, Jan. 22, the day of the show. The winners will be notified via Facebook email and shared on our Facebook wall. Good luck!
