Austin’s favorite experimental-indie band, The Octopus Project, return with their fifth studio album, Fever Forms, on July 9. The group is notorious for releasing joyous party music since 2002, all the while touring the world both on their own and as handpicked support for artists as diverse as Aesop Rock, DEVO, and Explosions in the Sky. They’ve earned a reputation for elaborate multimedia experiments, lavish album packaging, and extremely fun, extremely loud live shows.
On Saturday, July 6, The Octopus Project are performing a headlining concert at Mohawk to celebrate the release of Fever Forms. It will be quite the concert for indie fans as Wild Moccasins and Austin-based Zorch round out the bill. The best part? We have two tickets to the concert to give away to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers.
The giveaway will be conducted as a raffle from our email list. Just click “enter the drawing” below after submitting your full name and email address. We will pick the winner from these submissions before 3 p.m. on Saturday, the day of the show. The winner will be notified via email from Red River Noise. Roo!
Mohawk is located at 912 Red River. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 8 p.m. Music starts at 9 p.m. Show will be on outdoor stage. Advance tickets are available for purchase here.
