Wednesday, June 25, The Thing weekly party series will present another free edition of the popular hip-hop and electronic dance music (EDM) showcase series at Empire Control Room & Garage. This week’s event will feature Portland-based folktronica DJ/producer, Plantrae.

His live set even includes live viola improvisation to bring his unique hybrid of folk and EDM to life. In 2013 he released his debut album Taproot via Street Ritual and followed with his single “Dance With The Insect Soldiers” this past April.
