Mexic-Arte Museum presents Illustrating Revolution and Anarchy: Mexican Legacies of Global Change, an event celebrating both artistic and social movements of the 20th-21st centuries. The opening reception on Friday, Feb. 7, where guests can enjoy the works of various artists, live performances and catered food.
Illustrating Revolution and Anarchy is an exhibition that evolved from collaboration between La Casa de El Hijo del Ahuizote Museum and The University of Texas at Austin’s Mexican American Studies department. The event will showcase Mexico’s Flores Magón brother’s artistic legacies that presents both social and political art.
The exhibition began officially on Jan. 25 and wil run until Feb. 28. The opening reception, which features music and food is on Feb. 7 at the Mexic-Arte Museum located at 419 Congress Ave. Ticket prices range from $5-10.
