Cinema East Austin’s summer series is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean their last film is not going to be fun. On Sunday, Aug. 18, Cinema East presents 12 O’Clock Boys, a coming-of-age action-packed documentary film with the director Lotfy Nathan in attendance.
12 O’Clock Boys screened at the South By Southwest in March, and lucky for Austin movie-goers you won’t have to pay a fortune. The film captures a young boy named Pug who will do anything to join the urban dirt bike crew known as the “12 O’Clock Boys.”
As always, the policy is BYOB and pay-what-you-can ($2-5). Doors open at 7 p.m followed by a short film #PostModem. The film begins at dark (9 p.m.) with a post-screening Q & A with director Lotfy Nathan. The screening takes place at the French Legislation Museum located on 802 San Marcos.
