Cinema East’s summer series is almost coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t going all out. With over 1,000 attendees at the last screening, Cinema East invites movie-goers to its second-to-last screening on July 21 with the premiere of Bluebird.
Bluebird premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival 2013 and thanks to Cinema East it is screening just for Austinites! The film captures tragedy and hope as a school bus driver, Lesley makes a mistake that leads into something tragic for the entire community.
As always it’s a BYOB and pay-what-you-can ($2-5) policy that gives the movie crowd a more relaxing and social time. Doors open at 7 p.m. The film starts at 9 p.m. The screening takes place at the French Legislation Museum located on 802 San Marcos.
