Free Film Tuesday’s are still running strong at The North Door with sweet surprises and eclectic movies. On Tuesday, June 25, Free & Queer will be hosting the screening of independent film, Who Took the Bomp? Le Tigre on Tour.
Who Took the Bomp? Le Tigre on Tour is a very intimate film that follows the band on their final tour. It chronicles the feminist, LGBT electro-punk group as they share their personal struggles, experiences and what their music represents. The film captures the female and queer stereotypes and discrimination that they encounter as they tour. That being said, the film also unravels how they have overcome inequality by inspiring their fans with their music.
The North Door is located at 501 Brushy St. The event is free, but open to donations to help support the organization Girls Rock Camp. Doors open at 7 p.m. The screening starts at 8 p.m. followed by a night of the fore-mentioned live music performances. For more information visit the Facebook event page or The North Door’s website.
