Do you like The xx? How about Beach House or a bit of Depeche Mode? Then you will definitely love Gliss. This Danish/American trio’s music has a dreamy vibe with it’s heavy synths and hazy harmonies. Vocalist Victoria Cecilia’s voice is enchanting and floats from track to track. As a band, their sound has developed nicely and their new album Langsom Dans is a perfect example of that development.
Gliss, otherwise known at Victoria Cecilia, Martin Klingman and David Reiss, is currently residing in Los Angeles, California. The trio came together in 2004 and released their 2007 debut album Love the Virgins through United Kingdom’s Tough Cookie record label. The band’s sound has progressed into a sort of art pop that can only come from three artists collecting their musical imaginations together and creating something awesome.
Watch Gliss perform live at the “Future of Indie” day party at Güero’s Taco Bar on March 12. Gliss takes the stage at 4:45 p.m. RSVP on Facebook here and you could win a $20 Güero’s gift card. The event is all ages. No cover and no wristbands needed.
