Austin Fusion Magazine and the Star of Texas Tattoo Convention have collaborated to bring you a night of sin, music and mayhem with a side of psychobilly, rock and spinnin’ to fulfill that hot-rod, hell-billy lifestyle you’ve dreamt of. Join them for the official convention after-party/ AFM’s relaunch party on Saturday, Jan. 19.
Featuring a runway show sponsored by Murpho’s Rods located in the heart of South Austin, specializing in custom made vintage cars and housing a one-of-a-kind apparel shop. Spinning alongside these beautiful babies will be collaborator of all things cool, DJ Hexum. Busting out the blues/roots rockabilly style will be none other than Austin locals Charlie Terrell and the Murdered Johns. Also, the fabulous drop-dead-gorgeous, pin-up burlesque queen, Eva Strangelove will be entertaining along with Justin H. Credible with her sassy moves and hip shaking. Rocking out in to the night will be Midwest Monster featuring some hard-hitting metal with purr-fuming entrepreneur/actress/performer/bassist Miss Kitty Korvette.
Closing out the party will be Austin’s psychobilly legends, Flametrick Subs and the not-so-sweet pep girls of all things unholy, Satan’s Cheerleaders. The two groups collaborated back in ’95 and have been corrupting the youth with their sinful, southern hell-fire antics ever since. Bring an extinguisher because this show is going to be a hot one.
The Beauty Ballroom is located at 2015 East Riverside Drive. Doors open at 9 p.m. and show starts at 10 p.m. Tickets are $12-15. They can be purchased here.
