On Saturday, Frontier Bar will host another line-up of some high quality tunes sure to entertain the very harshest of the music critics. So many bands, so little time? Well, you can catch all of these talented locals straight from the creative epicenter of Texas, featuring a new wave of punk, darkwave, synth and psychedelia.
Starting out the night at 8:30 enters young guns Pangia, self-described as a fun, fast and furious teen surf band with a cool wave of ’60s-inspired surf with a splash of hard rockin’.
Next up, the band formerly known as The Hi-Tones hase suited up and gone psych. Obscured by Echos, has multiple shoegazing effects with dreamy layers and lyrics. Residual Kid then cranks it up a notch at 10:30. These amazing under-18 future superstars are destined to tear it up.
Dallas’ own Blackstone Rangers keep the flow going with the soothing sounds of darkwave, and closing out the night will be progressive indie-rock band The Boxing Lesson. With dark, melodic guitars and the sweet time-machined Moog, you have a rockin’ three piece that is going to bring it all together for a night of vive la experience.
The show is free for ages 21 and up, and cover is $10 for under 21. Doors open at 8 p.m. Frontier Bar is located at 2421 Webberville Rd.
