Snow Patrol and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are coming to the Austin Music Hall on Thursday, November 8. The two bands are finishing up a joint headline tour of 14 cities in North America. Texas is the last stop and Austin is the second to last city that the bands will be hitting up on their tour of the United States and Canada.
Snow Patrol came out of Dundee, Scotland in the mid-90s. Their fourth album, Eyes Open, hit platinum status in the United States after their hit, “Chasing Cars” was featured in the season finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2006. Their latest release, Fallen Empires, came out in 2011.
Noel Gallagher rose to fame in the ’90s with his brother Liam and their band Oasis, from England. Noel was the lead guitarist and songwriter but he left the band in 2009. He started up Noel Gallager’s High Flying Birds in 2011 and released his first solo effort with an album of the same name.
Opening up for the two bands from across the pond is special guest, Jake Bugg. The doors open up at 6 p.m. and it’s an all ages show. Tickets are available online for $45 but the VIP balcony tickets are already sold out.
