Rumor spreadin’ around in that Texas town, ’bout that shack outside La Grange and you know what I’m talking about. Oh yes Mr. Billy Gibbons, we know exactly what your talking about. One of the coolest southern rock bands from Texas will be throwing their 2nd annual La Grange Fest on Oct. 27 at The Backyard in Bee Cave, Texas.
Featuring a handful of performances on two stages, festivalgoers will get to see the likes of 17 year-old fiddle prodigy Ruby Jane, Texas country performed by Brad Dunn Band and the sheer charisma of vintage rock trio Leopold and His Fiction. Members of Cross Canadian Ragweed will perform with their new outfit, Cody Canada and the Departed. And you can even indulge your funky side with soul master Robert Randolph and The Family Band. Long time Texas music legends Jimmie Vaughan and Tilt-A-Whirl will also be there. And for the grand of all finales, there’s ZZ Top, fresh off the success of their first studio album in nine years, La Futura.
The festival will begin at 3 p.m. and will kick off with a slew of festivities fit just for Texas, including the Hot Rods and Honeys Classic Car Show. Other festivities include a motorcycle showcase, armadillo races, washer toss games, and the Miss La Grange Fest Daisy Duke Contest.
The fest will also include several Austin area food trucks to keep you full and a silent auction to benefit the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce.
