Long time Austin favorites, T Bird and The Breaks are unleashing CHUNK music to all of Austin’s party people on Friday, March 2, at ND with their new EP Dancehall Freakin’. What is CHUNK you ask? CHUNK Music is made up of equal parts funk, hip-hop, and rock and roll. You won’t want to miss this show as T Bird and the Breaks will be touring all over the U.S. in the second quarter of 2012.
Co-headlining the night’s festivities are the popular Austin-based funk group, Brownout. The soulful side-project to Grupo Fantasma, Brownout is the perfect compliment to T Bird and the Breaks. Lead by Adrian Quesada, Brownout’s original music has garnered positive critical acclaim by tastemaker media from all around the world. Currently the group is wrapping up their new album to be released in April.
The best part? We’ll be giving away a pair of tickets this Friday afternoon to one of our lucky Red River Noise readers on our Facebook page. All you have to do is click “Like” on this post to qualify. Yes, that means you can enter your name more than once throughout the week. This only applies to fans in the Central Texas area capable of making it to the show. Good luck!
