Austin Ticket Giveaway: Shonen Knife at Red 7

Japanese female punk-rock trio Shonen Knife is returning to Austin on Friday, Sept. 17, at Red 7 and we have a pair of tickets for one lucky fan.

We'll be giving away the tickets this Friday afternoon, the day of the show. All you have to do to qualify is be a fan of Red River Noise on Facebook and click "Like" every time you see this link posted. Each time you click "Like" on this link, your name will be entered into the drawing. Yes, that means your name can be entered more than once. This only applies to fans in Central Texas capable of making it to the show.

Shonen Knife is an all-female punk band from Osaka, Japan. Formed in the early '80s, their brand of punk takes elements of pop and garage. Singing in both Japanese and English, the trio won us over last fall at the annual Red River-style music festival, Fun Fun Fun Fest. They are often credited for putting Japan on the underground map while garnering famous fans like Nirvana and Sonic Youth. They also have a Ramones tribute band called The Osaka Ramones. If you have never seen Shonen Knife live before, you're been missing out on the fun.
